7.Associate Teachers

Cohort of 2015 - 2016

Our first cohort of Associate teachers all secured posts both within the Alliance and across the north-west.

Cohort of 2016 - 2017

Fifty percent of this cohort found employment within Alliance member schools, the remaining fifty percent chose to work closer to their home.

Cohort of 2017 - 2018

At the time of writing, our cohort are teaching much of the Numeracy and Literacy in class and getting fully involved in school life - clubs, parents evenings and trips. They will shortly be travelling to Harrow where we have links with a number of schools where a large number of pupils have English as an Additional Language. This trip allows our Associate Teachers (trainees) the chance to learn how class teachers ensure that all their pupils access the curriculum. In additon, the Associate Teachers will be spending time in a high school - this allows them to see what the expectation of the children they teach is at high school. And well in time to get job applications in, we run our employment training modules so that the Associate Teachers are well postitioned to get their first job.
