Ofsted Outstanding- February 2023

We are delighted to announce that in February, our accreditor, North West Shares SCITT and by proxy Yarrow School Direct, was inspected by Ofsted. After great initial feedback, the official judgement has now been published and has resulted in an Outstanding grading We are delighted with the inspection result as it reflects the ambition of our programme and the quality of our mentoring and school placements.

Ofsted noted that, "As a result of the exceptionally high-quality training provided... trainees are fully prepared to begin the profession as early career teachers" ... "Exceptionally high quality training fully prepares trainees to begin the profession and inspires them to excel. Trainees learn from exceptionally skilled tutors, inspirational consultants who are active in the work of national education organisations and dedicated mentors about the realities of teaching from the moment they apply."

Credit must go to the architects of the programme over at North West Shares SCITT, but we are similarly proud to have our programme recognised as outstanding; this makes our joint programme currently just one of seven in the country to be graded this highly!
